When I started to work in it, I gave me useful advice. It makes sense to me at the time, but has only, after that I had more experience that I am fully aware of the importance. This is something that I was in practice as it were implemented.

This piece of advice was in the form of four words “under promise to deliver”.

It basically means if you think something lasts five days, it takes ten days to mention (“under promise” part) and to stop within five days (“more to deliver” part). There are several reasons why this makes sense.

Managing expectations

Let’s say that you have asked to do some work to your boss, clients and colleagues. On you, you have requested a proposal for a holiday, how long it takes to do you the work.
